North Wessex Training is a leading training provider across Wiltshire, UK. We have training centres in Devizes, Salisbury and Trowbridge, plus a team of advisers which cover the whole county.
Many of our projects are Government initiatives and are supported by the European Social Fund. We work with a number of partners to deliver these initiatives, in particular the Jobcentreplus New Deal teams. NWT’s centres in Salisbury and Devizes provide a 26 week Skills Plus Programme for basic skills training (numeracy and literacy). We support clients in their aim to gain a recognized qualification.
Our team of advisers offer one-to-one guidance and job-seeking support over a six month period. Our programmes are specialised for the over 50s, Army dependants, Disabled People and Young People (16-18).
We also offer in-house training for companies under the Skills4business initiative. This provides free training for employees of SMEs. We provide basic skills and work related courses and qualifications up to Level 2 and NVQ.
The Managing Director previously ran a Local Authority training department, and our employees have backgrounds in training and assessment, the Civil Service, recruitment and industry. We have a policy of recruiting graduates from our training programmes. |
