Originally from a background in education, Joy Townley managed a local authority Training department for a number of years before becoming managing director of North Wessex Training. She is a fully qualified teacher, trainer and assessor. Joy has extensive experience of managing contracts funded by bodies such as LSC, JobcentrePlus and ESF. Joy has a 22 year old son studying Law at Swansea University, and a daughter Emma, 17 is studying for her A levels.

Amy graduated from Bristol with a degree in Media Studies, and joined NWT in 2005. In her role as a trainer she focuses on Basic skills, soft skills and job-seeking. Amy’s favourite things in life include boy bands, shopping sprees and her pet cat Ollie.

Steve works in the Special Projects Team and specializes in helping long-term unemployed clients and clients with disabilities. Steve’s greatest pleasure comes from helping people change and improve their lives.
Anna Boyd

Anna started with NWT in July 2005. She is 24 and lives in Swindon. Her favorite aspect of her role is the interaction with students, and making a difference in their lives. Anna plays guitar, sings and has dance classes.
Gail Case

Gail is a part-time employment adviser offering career advice and guidance on an individual basis to clients. She focuses on cv preparation, interview skills, confidence building and job search. Gail has a motorbike license, and enjoys ski-ing with her family.
Suzanne Collins

Suze manages the administration of the Salisbury branch, and has recently expanded her role to include Special Projects, Learn Direct and marketing. Suze is a Marketing graduate, has extensive wine knowledge and also runs a small business called in2wine limited.

Kay joined NWT four years ago, following a fifteen year career in the Civil Service in the Social Security and Benefits Offices. Kay has also worked in local jobcentres and Business Link bureau. Kay has two children, and loves following Rugby and après-ski on the slopes.

‘V’ has been working for NWT for 2 years as the head of administration. With the ability to multi-task and prioritise her workload, V is an essential cog in the wheel, (she also makes sure that there is a constant supply of goodies in the office).
Ann Ham

Ann joined NWT as a specialist employment advisor, including working with disabled people and army dependants. She has previous experience as an interviewer, and offers one-to-one interview skills. Ann has three children, and was once in band as the singer and guitarist.
Ray Jones

Ray is a Numeracy trainer at the Salisbury branch. He has had an extensive career including time in the RAF, and is a qualified engineer. Ray rides a motorbike and is in a band, as well as playing 5-a-side football.
Ann Meddick

Ann works as an Administrator at the Devizes office. She manages client files and also meets with potential clients to assess their Literacy and Numeracy skills. Ann is very artistic and keeps horses, and she has just become a Grandmother.
Graham Milford-Scott

Graham joined NWT at the end of 2005, following a background in industry, including 25 years with IBM. Graham became involved in the voluntary sector supporting individuals with drug and literacy issues. He is a keen collector of scientific equipment for his home laboratory.
Dana Martin

Dana works with young people aged 16-18 year olds, identifying employment opportunities and working with employers to promote further training. Dana has also been a stunt-rider in films such as ‘Champions’.
Tom Morrison

Tom joined NWT in July 2005, and delivers the Learn Direct programme. Tom has a music Diploma and has travelled around the world. His previous experience includes IT for the MoD and freelance web design. He enjoys Graphic Design, Science and World War 2 history.

Jackie joined the training team at NWT in October 2004 and delivers the Numeracy programme at the Devizes branch. She has just completed Stage I of FTEC qualification and is currently working towards Stage II. Jackie loves travelling and experiencing different cultures.

Paula is 24 and is currently working in a reception and administration role at the Devizes branch. She lives in Devizes with her partner and two children. She enjoys swimming and teaching her daughter funky dance moves!
Lisa Phillips

Lisa’s current role is as a Team Administrator for Special Projects at NWT. She has two children, and has been a foster mum for a further 12 children in the past 5 years. Lisa’s hobbies include music, cinema and cares for a menagerie of over 40 pets (including a Cow called Chocky!).

Linda Salter

Linda joined the company in October 2004 as a team leader, and has become a Trainer at the Salisbury branch. Linda is a qualified Literary Support Tutor and a qualified A1 assessor. She is an avid Formula One racing fan, and keen salsa dancer. Linda confesses that she is scared of heights and has never learnt to ride a bike!

Simon is a training consultant living in Salisbury. He has a very friendly personality with an excellent sense of humour. Simon plays the guitar, enjoying music at every level. He also enjoys photography and likes cats. Simon is very approachable and always good in a crisis.
Olly Young

Olly joined NWT as a Numeracy trainer at the Salisbury branch. He is now responsible for delivering the Gateway programme, a two week job-seeking workshop, running alternately in Trowbridge and Salisbury. Olly has five grandchildren, he plays guitar and enjoys sea-fishing.
